Working alongside your GP at Malahide Medical.

For patients of Malahide Medical only, nutrition support may be provided as part of a multidisciplinary approach, working alongside your GP. This allows nutrition education and guidance to be offered in a way that is appropriate, joined-up, and aligned with your wider healthcare. This may include support for metabolic health, female health, cholesterol, blood glucose balance, hormonal health, energy levels, and weight management which is always provided within the scope of nutrition practice.

Where nutrition support falls outside scope, or where specialist dietary treatment is required, referral to a specialist dietitian will be recommended. This ensures care remains appropriate, safe, and in the best interest of the patient.

All nutrition plans within this pathway are shared with and supported by your GP before you begin and along the journey.

  • "I signed up for support with my toddler and ended up working on my own nutrition. When I started my mood and appetite was so low, I had no energy and I felt all over the place. I thought I was eating o.k, but really I was eating mostly my daughter’s leftovers or picking here and there. Aileen showed me how much I was under fuelling and why it was important. She showed me how to build smaller meals and included some snacks that were delicious. I’m eating more and I’ve also put on weight which for me was really important, I also have so much more energy and I’m even sleeping better. I can’t recommend her enough.”

  • “My GP in Malahide Medical recommended that I see a nutritionist while I am on GLPs. My diet wasn’t great to begin with, but Aileen really showed me what foods really mattered and how to fit the things I loved to eat into my life. She also explained it all so clearly and with no judgment. After 8 weeks, I’m so much more confident in how I’m eating and the app support Aileen gave was unbelievable. It makes such a difference having nutrition that is aligned with my GP care. Well done Malahide Medical!”

  • “I was petrified about starting weaning with my baby so I signed up for Aileen’s Nourish Together 12 week program which I did online, and it has been such a gamechanger. Each session was an hour long and I probably spent as much time throughout the week getting more support through the app. Aileen helped me to introduce allergens, first foods and after I got a little more confident, we went onto making our family meals more baby friendly. Henry is now 9 months and he honestly eats everything. If there was a star rating here I would give Aileen 5 stars. It’s like working with someone who just gets you.”

  • “Great nutritionist. Really felt like she listened to me. I definitely wasn’t eating enough fibre and getting enough vitamin D. I’m eating so much better, lots of beans, more veg. Feeling a lot better so that’s a good thing”
